Yo. I'm an aspiring composer/writer/aritst (I'm really bad at that last one... Horribly awful drawings I swear... Ugh! But they're fun so y'know... Woot.). Hoping to write some tunes for the game and help out however else I can.
If anyone wants ta know more about me just head over to my website.
www.embracingfate.com
Its got my blog, music (all of it free to download), art, pictures, writings... Yadda yadda. The list goes ON.
(Btw, if anyone cares the website was completely made in old school HTML by me and me alone)
Um. So. Yeah. That's about it... Glad to be here!

Welcome to the Mouse Avoider Forums!
Nice site, especially for one written entirely in HTML. _________________

Thanks. I'm always trying to keep it looking and functioning better, making various little tweaks and whatknot. Soon I'm hoping to add a few new sections (probably around new year's) and I'm hoping to have three more albums wrapped up by then too. Lots of work, but I have nothing better to do with my time so... _________________ Keep the dream alive but don't keep it 'just a dream'. |

That's certainly a lot of work. Do you have most of the tracks for the albums? _________________

For The Championship Battles I've got 11 tracks done out of 17 total. Plus there's a storyline that goes with it with spoken word tracks spread out inbetween those (but the story tracks are easy to record).
For +255 I've got 7 out of 16 done. This one originally had a storyline but the way the tracks are sounding I'm going to have to lay it out differently because some of the tracks sound completely different than others (the difference is having live drum recordings versus having to make my own midi drums. The live drum songs are coming out sounding way brighter than the midi drum songs which makes them sound like they should be a completely different album.). I'll probably end up having it like split on the album with some kind of gimmick like "The Bright Songs" in one section followed by "The Dark Songs".
Then there is Embracing Fate II. Like the first Embracing Fate album, this album is essentially just made up of 10 random songs that don't fit into any particular album. I've already got 3 ready to go, and a fourth just needs a couple of more instruments put on it before it's ready. So I've got about 21 songs left before the end of the year. I haven't decided if the Mouse Avoider track will be specifically for Mouse Avoider or if I'm going to put it on EmFateII to help fill it out, but either way I'm keeping busy and I'll have the track done for you as soon as I can. Which should be in another day or two.
In somewhat related news, I just finished a song for +255 that was over 7 minutes long. Nearly killed me. It's on the mp3 player on my website called Personage Of A Paradigm if anyone wants to take a listen.

So +255 could be something like Good Charlotte's album The Chronicles of Life and Death with a Life Version and a Death Version? But rather than just different names, they'll have different songs?
EFII: Sounds like it needs the most work. But all the work added together sounds REALLY hard. _________________

Sounds something like that. It's hard to explain without showing you examples, but its like... Some of the songs on +255 so far sound very bright after they are mixed and mastered. While others maintain a darker kind of sound where nothing really sounds lively or crisp. So songs like Fire Burns, and Betrayal's three Tiers will end up bright, but when you listen to Baise D'Esprit or Personage Of A Paradigm, they sound really dark. The end result, is that when you listen to them back to back, they don't sound like they belong on the same album together because of the mix/master. Their volume levels even come out with a very noticeable difference. But, I think you know what I mean so yup. lol
EmFate II is actually the easiest to do because the EmFate albums are just total freedom. I can put any type of song on there I want to and they are only 10 tracks long. It allows for a lot of experimentation. For instance, if I wanted to do a solo piano piece that was just complete improvisation, I could finish it and shoved it on EFII. On the same turn, if I wanted to do a huge orchestrated type of song (think... Um. Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy VIII) then EFII would be the place for it. But it also becomes sort of like a net for those songs that aren't good enough for the other albums. Like, perfect example. I was working on this song for The Championship Battles and I wrote three completely different versions of this song that absolutely had to be perfectly fitting for the moment in the storyline it was representing. One version, was complete rubbish and I trashed it. The second version was really nice, but just not good enough. So, the second version was worth keeping and with some minor modifications it'll end up on EFII. The third version I totally nailed by the way. I think the third version ended up being the best song I've ever written. I can't wait to release TCB to get some feedback on it either.
Sorry, I'm just kind of rambling on. I've got a metal-type of song to do tonight and then tomorrow I'll take a break from +255 (I could definitely use one) and I'll hammer out your Final Battle theme. Any instruments or particular sounds you'd like to hear worked in? I could do like a Kingdom Hearts battle theme, old school FF, new school FF, I could do something that was just a straight up hard rock song like Rage Against The Machine with vocals and everything... Also how long would you like it to be? I think that's about it (if you've ever listened to The Black Mages (and if not, you might want to take a listen to 'em real quick) I am most skilled at writing music in that genre).
